Some of the additional time and money saving benefits you will receive are based on our ability to better Filter, Correlate and Escalate the Delivery of each unique alarm.
a) Filtering - Using our advanced IRISnGen software platform, we will now be able to filter out alarms so that you are only notified of those alarms which you and your customers have decided are of importance.
Some of our present Dealer Monitoring Partners have indicated they have tried other monitoring solutions before partnering with CSM. They have continually expressed high praise for our ability to filter and correlate alarms based on urgency, importance and for our ability to categorize alarms for them based on whether the alarms were service affecting vs. non-service affecting. Other monitoring solutions they had tried were really no more than a simple relay solution.
This caused them to receive hundreds if not thousands of minor non-service affecting alarms each day, that did not require their interaction. What naturally happened was they started ignoring their alarm notifications and then inadvertently ignored the major service affecting alarms as well.
Partnering with CSM will allow you to offer a Pro-Active monitoring solution. What is 'pro-active' monitoring? You will now be notified of important, service affecting alarms and we will be able to provide you the information necessary to fix or replace a defective or malfunctioning piece of your customer's equipment in many cases before your customer was even aware there was a problem. You will now be able to provide your customer monthly reports showing the alarms that were handled and how you were able to correct their problems without them even being aware of them. Now that is customer service and customer satisfaction at its BEST!
b) Correlation - Correlation is the ability to make a notification decision based on looking at and evaluating multiple alarms being generated from a site.
You may inform us that if there is only a single power interruption that this is non-service affecting and you do not require to be notified. But you let us know that if this interruption happens 3 or more times then this can be service affecting and then you do wish to be notified.
You may additionally have a scenario where if minor alarm types A & B happen either together or by themselves that this does not require notification. But if alarm types A & B along with alarm type D all happen together, then this is cause for you to be notified.
c) Alarm Delivery - With CSM we have the ability to customize the delivery of the alarm notification process. Depending on the product being monitored and the alarm type, we can customize the notification to who is alerted, how they are alerted and when they are alerted. If certain thresholds are met, then alarms can be escalated so if an alarm is not acknowledged or responded to from someone within your service organization within a certain period of time, the alarm will then continue on to the next service person in line until an acknowledgement has been received from your service company.
