Enterprise(i)

The Enterprise(i) is the newest addition to Crytycal Services Management's line of fault and configuration management products for telecom and datacom systems. The Enterprise(i) offers a wide range of capabilities for monitoring legacy telecom systems and IP-based elements.

Enterprise(i) major features include:

 ASCII data-stream analysis
 SNMP Proxy Agent
 SNMP Segment Manager
 Advanced alarm filtering and correlation
Custom fault correction and host dialog using Python
 Environmental sensors and controls

 Data collection/polling
Secure access – In band and Dial-up
 Built-in UPS

The design of the Enterprise(i) is host independent, which means that it can be used to monitor and report alarms for most any electronic device, whether it is equipped with an RS232C interface, alarm contacts or a network connection. Using a unique architecture, specifically designed for unattended operation, and built-in battery backup, the Enterprise(i) provides the highest possible reliability for monitoring mission critical devices. Even in the event of power loss, it continues normal operation for operation for up to two (2) hours, storing important data and reporting critical events - such as the power outage.

The tremendous flexibility in data screening allows the Enterprise(i) to detect and react to changing host conditions with customized responses. Depending on the condition, the Enterprise(i) can trigger reactions that may vary from simple data storage and reporting, to a fully scripted dialog between the Enterprise(i) and the host device for proactive error correction of the fault condition. Advanced built in correlation can help reduce spurious occur-clear alarm conditions and provide effective root cause analysis for intra-system or inter-system failures.

Ports of the Enterprise(i) are universal in nature and may be configured to operate with the applicable host device using serial or network protocols. RS232 speeds up to 115Kbps, modem speeds up to 56Kbps, and network connectivity at 100 megabits is standard. The flexibility of port and sensor configuration allows for a wide variety of applications to be addressed.

The Enterprise(i) provides fast and effective methods to access monitored devices for configuration or problem resolution in a secure manner. Access is fully configurable by port and the level of access privilege may be defined for each user. A multiple level sign-on process is utilized that supports user name, password, callback (revert dialing) and callback using random passwords delivered to pagers.
